On The Set Of ABC World News

Last night I went to the ABC News studios here in New York to film a short news package. ABC produces these pieces for their affiliates across the country to use in their morning shows. This piece should run in your local ABC morning show sometime this week, if not today.

I do these pieces every few weeks for ABC but this was my first time filming in their studios. Usually they come to film at my office at CNET. It probably goes without saying that filming on their set is much preferable for me! I don’t easily get awestruck but when I walked onto the set of ABC World News, I did get a chill of being on a major league field.

Since I featured the Flip Video as one of my gadgets, the segment producer wanted to shoot some footage with the camera for the package while we were filming. That is what you will see in this video. The sound quality is poor and you can see me fooling around between takes but nevertheless it is proof that I have played on the same field as some very impressive major leaguers! (Sorry for all the baseball metaphors. I’m excited that it is opening week!)

    Saw you on Revision 3 yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at how you seem to be another example of a growing trend of tech-savvy female role models.

    More and more young girls should look up to you and women like you, instead of the girls on the cover of US weekly.

    I could not believe my eyeballs when I glanced up from my early morning cup of coffee and spied you there on the Fox News Network, looking beautiful and talking about techie stuff! You have come a long way when I was not looking! I hope you are very happy in your chosen field.

    Since you now live in New York City (what a change, eh?!) have you had time to visit all the sites, especially Bethel? What a treasure to live and work so close by!

    Great job again Natali. Nothing wrong with all the major league baseball references. It is exciting to have baseball back. And nothing beats the Gilroy Garlic Fries at PacBell/SBC/ATT/whatever they are calling it this year. Keep the great content coming. :-)

    You really look like you know what you are doing there Natali. I can imaging how cool it must be to get on a major set like that though. I have always been interested in tv/film production, but never got into it. I regret that now, but then again, its never too late. Great job, and keep up the good work.
